Brazen Careerist Gets A ‘Facelift’
I have to come to love the online community and network, Brazen Careerist the “career management tool for next-generation professionals.” I have spent each day contributing and reading my peers’ writing and thoughts over the past 4-5 months. I discover new bloggers, interact and meet new friends and I’m able to network with a fantastic group of next generation young professionals. My friends at Brazen believe they’ve “created a network that helps young professionals level the playing field,” and ultimately it displays “your potential.”
Today I’m proud to (help) announce that Brazen Careerist is launching a new and improved site!
What’s New?
- Brand new homepage: Members have control over the content they want to see when they log in with a “personal Fan Feed,” where you can follow real time updates. Posts are still featured, but they’re not the main focus.
- User Profiles become “idea-centric:” Profiles will feature comments from posts you have contributed to on Brazen and your own featured (latest) blog posts. It’s almost like the activity you’ve been generating on Brazen. There’s also a new resume section that tells other members where you’ve been and what you’ve done. (Reference screen shot below for new look of the profile).

The reasons I enjoy Brazen Careerist so much is because they listen and cater to the needs and desires of Generation Y and those employers and companies that are hiring them. Cohesively bringing the two together creates empowerment for both sides.
Regular job boards are boring, lack personality and seem impersonal because you’re not sure who is really posting, you wonder if it’s legitimate and there’s no interaction. Generation Y interacts, we like to work in teams and we learn from each other. Brazen Careerist is the vehicle for our inspiration and incubating professional growth.
So really? What are you waiting for? Even if you’re not looking for a job currently, you probably will again in the future. You can also establish a brand and network for yourself. You don’t even have to be a blogger. You can start getting into the online wave, commenting, collaborating and learning. It’s one of the best steps you can make professionally for yourself. Sign up. Check out the new facelift Brazen gave itself.
I’m pro Brazen, plus the word ‘Brazen’ is so bad-ass, I like being able to call myself a ‘Brazen Careerist!’ (And you should too)
