Friday Linky Love

2010 February 26
by Grace Boyle

I wrote about being “down” this week and it got a lot of interesting comments (on and offline) as well as from my friends, all around the world. I have had lunch dates, e-mails and phone calls from my “in real life” friends and it has sparked quite the debate, in a definitely positive way.  I realized some of what I said (like any writing) can be taken differently from each individual.

As a clarification, my intent wasn’t to be exclaim: this way is right and the other way is wrong, but to write from my perspective and experience, how I have come to respect each individual’s lifestyle and needs, while simultaneously learning to understand how I operate to better understand others. That is really the bottom line. So to everyone who shared, thank you for contributing, listening and pushing me to think even further.

With that being said, I actually plan on doing not much this weekend and I can’t wait ;)

I also wrote a guest post this week for my friend, Beth Oppenheim-Chan over at 25 and Trying:

  • Thanks for the link love! And thank you for your comment. I'm a verbalizer too. I'm also one of those people who is always "down" and had to learn to not take it personally when other people have different levels of "down...ness". :) Love the blog!
