Friday Linky Love

2010 August 6
by Grace Boyle

I’m taking a roadtrip to Taos this weekend for some South West flair, food (check out the places we’ll be sampling), art galleries and mountains. I haven’t been, so it’s a life-list check off. What are you working on checking off?

Smartness:

I have two new blogs that I am recommending with great fervor:

  • Project 4/365: four girls in photography and seeing the beauty in everyday (a photo a day, from all four girls, for a year)
  • She Thinks:  A mother. A daughter. A topic. Learn more here about Ally and her mother, taking one topic, then side by side dissecting and offering their (often witty) opinion. It’s brilliant!

Wow! What great company to be with – Harvard Review and Huffington Post. Thanks for the link. It means a lot.

Emotional space is an important topic to me because the more emotional space we have the easier it is to appreciate and learn from our feelings. They become more of a guide instead of a hindrance.

Hey Iowa Grrl, I enjoyed checking out yr blog after you left a comment about the Iowa Cheese plate. I especially enjoyed today's links. The mother-daughter blog was unlike any blog I've seen before. Inspiring. Thanks for bringing me something fresh. Cheers to you!

Miss Madame Fromage, I love your blog (like I love cheese)!

Thank you for stopping by – I do Friday Linky Love each week and hopefully, bring something fresh each time and telling readers what others are doing right (and new).

PS. I'm doing a piece on my friend's blog, http://www.nomadicfoodie.com for cheese plates (upcoming). I might deploy your help/link to you for that!

Thanks for sharing those articles, I enjoyed them all but the travel article particularly resonated with me. The nomadic lifestyle is so interesting and tempting!

Last December, just as I was wrapping up my time in Peru, I came across a beautiful passage from a book called “Letters to My Son.” I typed up the excerpt, called On Travel, and shared it in my last post. You might enjoy it too: http://leiainlima.wordpress.com/2009/12/13/on-t…

OH MY GOD. I am HONORED to be here. HONORED I tell you. Thank you so much for the love. I've been blogging for awhile, but my mom hasn't. She was TERRIFIED to publish her stuff online, and something like this is just amazing for us to hear. Seriously, Grace, thank you.

Also, I tend to caps lock LOTS of THINGS when I'm truly excited, so yeah.

@Leia Glad you liked them! Thanks for the excerpt, it's beautiful. I love that kind of stuff. This week I have a post coming out about the statistics and facts of travel, interesting, less emotional than I usually write ;) but still interesting.

@Ally You are SO welcome. Seriously Ally, I see hundreds and hundreds of blog a week for work and haven't seen anyone doing what you two are doing. Not to mention, you're both so candid and wonderful writers. I'm thinking I want to interview you guys too ;) someday in the future.

Keep it up, I'm such a big fan xxoo
