Isn’t it funny how your past may be behind you, but it can always come back in the future or present day (in a good way)?

Three years ago I was living and studying abroad in Italy. I one of the best experiences of my life and I lived with seven strangers. All girls. In an apartment in downtown Florence. Somehow, we all got along, traveled Europe together and although it has been some time and we’re scattered across the country (and world) the bond will always exist in that one memory we created together.

This weekend, two of my seven roommates and I (plus our significant others, a dog, and some other friends) are getting back together and headed to the mountains in Steamboat. Somehow, we all found ourselves here in Colorado. Ironic, but exciting. Can’t wait for a mountain getaway for the long weekend. I think of it as the last weekend in summer.

Doing it up:

Finally, with my friends over at Brazen Careerist I participated in their Rock Your Career in 30 Seconds video project. My advice was to let go of the job description. See what I mean in the video…and I love the screen shot of my gaping, loud mouth ;) Sweet.

I loved the video! Most of the jobs I have had over the years I was not technically qualified for but because of interest and a willingness to learn, I was given a shot. Fabulous advice that works. :)
