Trust in Something

“You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.” — Steve Jobs

Trust takes time.

Clearly, your vulnerability is heightened when you put trust in a person or business but inevitably you can’t find happiness or joy if you cannot trust.

I’m putting this out there–even if our memory or past experiences don’t want us to trust, you have to. Call it your “gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever…” Begin with trust, even if it’s against all odds because believing in something is better than believing in nothing.

  • For me the secret to trust is being able to trust yourself first.
If you really trust yourself then you can effortlessly trust whoever and whatever is around you because regardless of what happens you know you will be fine.
  • @Rachel That's a very good point. Trusting yourself is the key and then all else begins to follow in place.
  • @Carlos You're too kind! You bring up a good point about religion and although I mostly agree with you on that, to each their own because many strongly believe in their respective religion and that faith is important to them.

@A-Hole Guru You're right. The more you trust, the easier it will be and the more you will be able to trust across the board. Thanks for sharing.

  • And being able to trust is a habit. So don't beat yourself up if it doesn't come easy at first, it takes awhile to turn your brain around. Like anything else, you'll get better at it the more you do it.
  • Oh, I think I fell in love with this post.

I agree and love the idea of trusting and believing, except when it comes to religion. I think that you can force you to believe in anything except religion.
